Pacific
Beach Real Estate is located on one of the most
popular beaches in the City of
San
Diego.
Pacific
Beach
known to locals as simply "PB", is south of
La
Jolla
and north of
Mission
Bay.
Although
Pacific
Beach
and Crystal Pier have become famous tourist attractions, there
is still the appeal and feel of a small beach community. In fact, with the
development of
Mission
Bay
in the 60s, PB was in danger of being overbuilt with high-rise
apartment buildings and other commercial development.
The
residents sponsored a 30-ft height limit proposition which was
voted into effect in 1972. This has protected the area
to keep the small town feel for the residential community.
Over the last decade, there have been many improvements
to the area including the
Promenade
Shopping
Center
and
Sea
Coast Square.
